HONOLULU (AP) – An attorney for two New Hampshire residents injured in a tour helicopter crash last year in Hawaii says they’ve reached a settlement with two manufacturers.
Attorney Rick Fried says he’ll provide details Monday. He says they’ve resolved the case for “nearly eight figures.”
Judy Barton of Newport, N.H., was paralyzed from the waist down in the March 11, 2007 crash. Her husband, Douglas Barton, suffered a broken arm.
Another passenger died. The pilot was treated for minor injuries.
A National Transportation Safety Board report says the helicopter crashed after losing its tail rotor.
