POSTED: 11:04 am EDT June 23, 2008

HONOLULU An attorney for two New Hampshire residents injured in a tour helicopter crash last year in Hawaii said they have reached a settlement with two manufacturers.

Attorney Rick Fried said he will provide details Monday. He said they have resolved the case for “nearly eight figures.”

Judy Barton, of Newport, N.H., was paralyzed from the waist down in the March 11, 2007, crash. Her husband, Douglas Barton, suffered a broken arm.

Another passenger died. The pilot was treated for minor injuries.

A National Transportation Safety Board report said the helicopter crashed after losing its tail rotor.
