Gerald Y. Sekiya is one of the founders of the firm and has practiced law for forty years. Mr. Sekiya obtained an engineering degree from the University of Illinois where he was a member of Tau Beta Pi, the national engineering honor society. He graduated from Hastings College of Law at the University of California where he was an editor of the Law Review and a member of the prestigious Order of the Coif. He served as a law clerk to Federal District Judges Robert Peckham and Oliver Carter in San Francisco and was a grader for the California Bar Exam. He has an outstanding reputation as a trial lawyer in cases involving defective products. Mr. Sekiya has been listed in a number of prestigious directories, including Who's Who in American Law and the Best Lawyers in America. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. He has been a past president of the Hawaii Trial Lawyers' Association, past president of the Consumer Lawyers of Hawaii, and is president of the Hawaii Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates.
