Biography

John D. Thomas, Jr. joined the firm in 1980. He has practiced law for over 35 years. Mr. Thomas has lectured at legal seminars for attorneys and has authored a chapter in the Hawaii Motor Vehicle Collision Manual published in Hawaii in 1990. He was appointed by the Chief Justice of the Hawaii Supreme Court to the State of Hawaii Rules of Evidence Committee, and has been a committee member since 1993. Mr. Thomas was chair of the Hawaii Tort Law Study Committee from 1997 to 1999. Mr. Thomas has developed an emphasis in medical negligence cases and has been trial counsel for some of the largest medical malpractice cases in Hawaii.
